Arthy Ahmed
Arthy Ahmed is an internationally acclaimed dancer, educator, and cultural leader, widely respected for her commitment to ethical art practices in dance. She holds a BA Honours and a Master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from India, along with a specialized Diploma in Dance Psychology.
After returning to Bangladesh, Arthy shifted her focus toward dance education and community building. She is the pioneer of Adult Beginners Dance Classes in The World,an initiative that has now grown into a widely recognized curriculum both nationally and internationally. She also initiated the #danceyourage movement, advocating for age-appropriate choreography and healthy artistic practices for children.
Arthy currently teaches 700+ students aged 3 to 70, including children, teenagers, and adult beginners, creating an inclusive, non-judgmental space where dance is accessible to all.
She is a TEDx Speaker, and has been honored with the Top Outstanding Young Person of Bangladesh 2025 award. In recognition of her exceptional contribution to culture and the arts, she was awarded the Ekushey Padak 2026, the second highest civilian award of Bangladesh.
